Sisay Tesfaye serves as the Director of Digital Operations at EthSwitch, bringing over 15 years of progressive experience in digital financial services, payment systems, and financial market operations. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an MBA, complemented by prestigious international certifications, including CISI, IIPS, and CDFP. During his tenure at EthSwitch, he previously served as Manager of the Clearing, Settlement & Reconciliation Division. In his current role as Director of Digital Operations, he oversees clearing, settlement, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and fraud management operations. Sisay plays a key role in strengthening Ethiopia’s digital payments ecosystem and has a broad understanding of the operations, interdependencies, and critical infrastructures that underpin the country’s financial ecosystem. Prior to joining EthSwitch, Sisay has served in various capacities at the Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) and the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).
