Job Description

EthSwitch S.C. is a technology and payments company established to play a critical role in the modernization of Ethiopia’s currently emerging payment system by instituting and operating the country’s retail payments scheme, ensuring interoperability of payments among payment services providers, and providing shared infrastructure. The mission of the Company is “Making Payments Simple and Affordable”, and the Vision of the Company “To be best in class Payments Network in Africa”. We are looking for professionals to fill the following vacant positions for our offices of the Program Management Office (PMO).EthSwitch is currently implementing a range of projects/activities including the Real Time Retail Payment Platform which is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The Product Manager reports to the Program Management Office Director and shall be responsible for driving the product roadmap & partnering with internal cross-functional teams to deliver new products.

S/he is also responsible for developing functional design and technical specifications documents; supporting participants with technical integration during onboarding; market rehearsal with participants; and successfully handing over products to the operations team along with SOPs.

 

Job Requirements

  • A/BSC/MA/MSC degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering,  Software Development, or related fields of study.
  • 9/7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with product lifecycle from requirements to feature or product delivery, product support, cross-team dependency management, and team development.
  • Product or related experience, preferably with applications/sales engagement experience
  • Experience in the areas of instant payment switches, payment gateways & wallet platforms, preferably in an interoperable environment.
  • A track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs.
  • Track record of taking ownership, getting results, and Sound business judgment.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, formulate data-driven decisions, conceptualize, run, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills amid ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, strong communication, and analytical skills.
  • Must have good command of both spoken and written English.
  • Required Number 1 (One)
